Ernie Alzino’s Legacy
Ernie Alzino started his life in Ingham FNQ. In 1950 at the age of 14 Ernie left school to begin working full time on the family cane farm where his father purchased the family’s first bulldozer. Ernie & Brother Roly worked side by side each day on the family cane farm for many years until the brothers decided to relocate their families to Caboolture in 1968 where Alzino Brothers continued.
Ernie & Roly Alzino purchased several large parcel of land to create one large parcel now known as Bracalba Quarry. From conception to sale to Brisbane City Council in 2003 the Alzino family made the Quarry into what it is today. Upon sale Ernie & Roly both kept 200 acres each where they both reside today.
In 2003 Ernie purchased our home base today at 65 Pasturage Road in Caboolture where Alzino & Co grew. As of today Alzino & Co consists of over 50 employees, over 100 machinery & vehicles and 8 of Ernie Alzino’s immediate family members working within the business each day.
Ernie may have a large team running the show for him however at 88 years of age Ernie is still on machines daily. Ernie & his posi track are attached at the hip with no signs of that trade mark white hard hat retiring anytime soon.
With many exciting things in the pipeline for Alzino & Co, Ernie’s legacy is going strong!
